CODE OF CONDUCT

Since 2013, the Berlin Burlesque Festival stands for diversity in an open society. We aim to focus attention on those people, organisations, and projects which stand up to hate, violence and injustice. This applies locally and of course also online. Because for us it goes without saying that no one should be discriminated on the basis of age, gender, appearance, sexual orientation, physical or mental abilities, skin colour, origin or religion.

This implies that we pay each artist equally according to our scale which is stated in our “Terms & Conditions” for applications.

We encourage you to support us and be active in ensuring that the Berlin Burlesque Festival fully reflects this openness in all its variants. Treat others with respect and help create a good atmosphere for open conversation. This includes your comments and posts on blogs, websites, the twittersphere and other social networks as well as at the location itself.

We subscribe to a reflective, moderate demeanour and interaction with others and hope to be treated the same by you. Please act responsibly on all platforms and practice de-escalation before conflicts arise. Whether online or offline, we do not tolerate any form of hate, defamation, intimidation, threats, patronising comments or behaviour and will respond to any incidents accordingly.

Furthermore, during the event we will not tolerate verbal hostility, stalking, physical altercations of any kind or people who act out negatively and disrupt sessions and/or stage events. Aggressive photography and recording of participants without their permission is forbidden. Contribute in making our festival a great and memorable event. Help to make everyone feel safe and do not hesitate to approach us or others if you need help or support. Troublemakers will be reprimanded and we reserve the right to exclude them from the event. If someone feels unduly accused or unfairly treated, they should turn to us and we will try to mediate the matter with all involved parties.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Seit 2013 steht das Berlin Burlesque Festival für Vielfalt in einer offenen Gesellschaft. Deshalb legen wir besonderen Fokus auf Menschen, Organisationen und Projekte, die sich gegen Hass, Gewalt und Ungerechtigkeit einsetzen. Das gilt vor Ort und natürlich auch online. Es versteht sich für uns von selbst, dass niemand aufgrund von Alter, Geschlecht, Aussehen, sexueller Orientierung, körperlicher oder geistiger Beeinträchtigung, Hautfarbe, Herkunft oder Religion benachteiligt wird.

Dies beinhaltet unter anderem auch, dass alle Künstler, die bei uns auftreten, gleichermaßen, entsprechend der Staffelung in unseren “Terms & Conditions” für Bewerber bezahlt werden.

Wir wünschen uns, dass ihr uns aktiv dabei unterstützt, dass das Berlin Burlesque Festival diese Offenheit in all ihren Facetten widerspiegelt. Respektiert andere wie euch selbst und tragt zu einem angenehmen Veranstaltungs- und Gesprächsklima für alle bei – in euren Kommentaren und Posts auf Blogs, Webseiten, in der Twitter-Sphäre und in anderen Netzwerken wie auch auf dem Event selbst.

Wir praktizieren einen besonnenen, moderaten Umgang mit unserem Gegenüber und wünschen uns das auch von euch. Das Festival steht für ein entspanntes Miteinander. Deshalb verhaltet euch bitte auf allen Plattformen verantwortungsbewusst und deeskaliert, bevor es zu einem Konflikt kommt. Wir tolerieren online wie offline keinen Hass, keine Diffamierung, Einschüchterungen, Bedrohungen, herablassende Kommentare oder derartige Handlungen und werden entschieden dagegen vorgehen!

Genau so wenig tolerieren wir auf dem Event vor Ort Belästigungen, verbale Anfeindungen, Stalker, physische Übergriffe jeder Art und Besucher/innen (m/w/d), die Shows auf den Bühnen stören. Ihr tragt dazu bei, dass das Berlin Burlesque Festival eine tolle Veranstaltung ist und bleibt, an die ihr euch noch lange gern erinnert. Helft mit, dass sich jede und jeder sicher fühlt und zögert nicht, das Festival-Team anzusprechen, wenn ihr Hilfe oder Unterstützung benötigt. Wir werden Störer/innen (m/w/d) zurechtweisen und behalten uns vor, sie im Extremfall der Veranstaltung zu verweisen. Dabei werden wir mit Nachdruck vorgehen. Sollte sich jemand zu Unrecht für etwas beschuldigt oder angefeindet fühlen, möchten wir den/diejenige (m/w/d) bitten, sich ebenfalls an uns zu wenden und wir versuchen, die Angelegenheit zu klären und gemeinsam zu schlichten.
